Hi, thinking of an upgrade for my son, he's currently using a Compadre which he has done very well with, beating the old man on more than one occasion with my high end detectors. Just thought that it would be nice for him to step up a notch, maybe get a tad more depth. May have a chance to get a used X2 for $275 or just buy a new Silver uMax. Any thoughts here?
well if your son is advanced with the higher end stuff go with the troy i beleive this has the coin ck feature as well and alot of guys run the 7" concentric on as well but the silver is no slouch either have pulled qauters out before close to 9" before it will suprise you!
owner , the way Tesoro honors their warranties, the x2 would still be under lifetime warranty same as a new Silver umax would be.Any Troy X2 has the same lifetime warranty as any other Tesoro.
I recently bought a used X-2 and love it .I like to switch between the stock Super7 coil and the Tesoro 7 " widescan .The push button coin check and pinpoint buttons are a great feature also . The black color is classy too . Certainly nothing wrong with a Silver Umax either .
Thanks for the replies, well I think I'll get the silver for him for his 14th birthday. Anyone know who has the best deal on a new one?
I know the price is the same from all dealers, just wondering who has the best deals on an extra or 2 they will throw in, I know the profit margin is not that great on this machine so maybe nobody can throw in an extra but just I just thought I'd ask. PM me with any info.
