Silver Umax going out to pasture--something is coming???

Kinda makes me want to grab one...

..yeah grab a new one leave it in the box for 10 ?? no but really nice coin wacker for the price and the coil options, but the $1 question is are the just going to slowly eat their own tail or is there something new coming the suspense of waiting is like as near as bad as who killed Kenny or if kims butt as got any bigger. I cant sleep :lmfao: its so distressing !!

Essentially, the silver umax is just the compadre, at a lower frequency, and with ed120 instead of 180, but with a sensitivity knob?
Do I have this right?

No.
Different circuit boards, totally different units and not just those differences you mentioned.
The Compadre does not have the high gain, low noise circuitry that most modern detectors seem to have moved to, it is a throwback to an earlier age among other things.

Taking things away from other upper end models or making those changes does not make a Compadre, adding extra knobs and features to a Compadre would not make it exactly like the other Tesoros, either.
The little C is in a world of its own...hunt with it for enough time and see some of the absolutely mind boggling things it can do and you would see what I mean and once you get out with yours you will.
Far from just a beep and dig unit too, just like all the other Tesoros..
There is a whole church movement built up around this thing for a reason.

I STOPPED using my Silver when I got my Compadre . The Silver was a great COIN machine -the Compadre was best around iron trash.

Time will tell.

In a nutshell feature wise

I know what Id like to see but like the old saying goes. Wish in one hand and $#!7 in the other and see which one fills up first.

it was a spark of Hope when Tesoro brought out 2 new coils Like the Epsilon 5 pin and 4 pin model DD. Good question now indeed. Whats next.?

Hurry up and wait.

Just spit ballin here but what would you think about a compadre or silver exactly the same electronics wise but that folds like the mine lab go find series detectors?

That go finder series was a massive 'White Elephant' one of the biggest mistakes they have ever made,in theory it was a good idea but in practice they cannot giive them away over here in the UK.
