Silver Umax going out to pasture--something is coming???

According to another forum, something is going to happen at Tesoro.
This could finally be good news. Give me a good reason to buy another Tesoro, a detector always felt are fun to use.

Silver umax is going to be going bye-bye.
I bet it hasn't been a big seller for them since the Compadre just about matches its performance and exceeds its performance on very small gold, for a lot less $$$.
The Cibola has nearly the same fixed features as the Silver a better and deeper detector. Why buy a Silver?

Here's a thought why, could be way off base. Just my thought process.
If they were to bring out a new detector, price point wise with features it would have to fall somewhere in between what they now have to compete with other brands, models that offer much more for the money.
So that means something has to go, not sure if people will pay $1000 for a beep and dig Tesoro. So the new product would have to be below the Tejon, their flagship detector.
To increase sales, drop the price of the Cibola down to the Silver price, drop the Outlaw down to current Cibola price, drop the Vaquaro down to current Outlaw price. That leaves a price point open between the
Outlaw and Tejon. Providing the new machine has better performance features than the V and just below the Tejon, the complete line of detectors will generate an increase of sales of all machines without raising the prices higher than the Tejon. Maybe the Cazador will appear after all? We can still hope.

Either that is what they are up to or they are phasing out machines that don't sell well. Keeping the line of detector models to a few or..............
That will be two detectors recently then sacked, the famed Golden Sabre and the Silver umax..

so no more silver hey?

well buy them up now then in 10 years they will be classics :lmfao: worth double todays price :bouncy:

I believe it when I see it with Tesoro .

but thanks for the goss

Only thing ten yrs from now a dollar will be worth about a third of what it is today.:nopity:

More and more detectorists will keep using shovels, knives in public areas-leaving holes, gashes, etc. Schools, parks, and other public places will start banning their use. Even with our best techno!ogy it won't make a difference. And what does it take to find a valuable at 2-3"? Tesoro is smart.

smart cause they know R&D is a waste of money because the end is nigh or smart because they don't have any money for R&D :sleepy:

well the way I feel today they could ban it all everywhere and I couldn't care less, I sure hope that changes soon.

one day we will all have trackers oh sh$t we already do and they made us pay for them how smart are they , there will be and has been a slow erosion of civil rights for the last 30 years introducing fluoride in to the water stopped a lot of protesting and riots, will let you research that yourself.

not being able to detect is the least of our worries :poke:

you know the frog cooking story its happening but its so slow and organized we don't see it. in fact we are part of it.

as america decays, more sites will open up as the cites turn in to gost towns like Detroit, just think they for down over 100.000 homes and all date before 65

n/t

Well I'm going to have to buy 2 more because it is probably my favorite Tesoro unit. I love it with the cleansweep and the 11x8 coil.

This is probably too simple but I think the silver uMax with adjustable ground balance would place it between the Compadre and Outlaw better than the current version.

you know we are not good at riddles Sven :poke:

that's why we have Tesoro's beep dig, beep dig, beep dig, beep dig, beep dig, beep

I have seen footage of some of Detroit's hoods. Man there are some gorgeous decaying grand old house/mansions there. And I can only imagine the wonders in the yards. But even if you get access you'd need body guards with AK-47's watching your six.

What's replacing it?!?
