Silver!!! Gold!!!! GUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NINE ring day!!

If you start finding skulls, the cops may come to your aid any time someone else calls them on you....

Yeah, must be terrible hitting all those high tones. But yesterday someone told me about a friend of his that just lost a brand new SS hand gun on the river because the canoe dumped. Now, what they are doing with a hand gun that isn't secure, in a canoe, when no hunting season is open, is beyond me, but I have a rough idea of where to start looking. Still, if I find it, I will probably call the cops - it's the only thing I really don't particularly want to find when diving; unless they are from the civil war or something. Nice finds.

Case is closed. gun was tossed in the lake by the OWNER becasue it wasn't registered and he didn't want to sell an unregisrtered gun from Florida. The detective told me today the chief is going to send it into the State Police to have melted down. WRONGGG The LAW is that if I can leagally own it I can have it. It can be put in my name. I called the chief twice today with no answer. I WILL be sending a registered letter tomorrow. I also talked to the State Police today.

I can legally own guns, I have a couple right now. It has a serial number on it. Its not stolen or used in a crime. its legally mine. This is what I mean, some police think they can make up their own laws.

Will keep you posted. Hopefully the chief will call me back tomorrow. The gun belongs in my display case and so do all the bullets I found with it. If needed this will go to court.

Hope you get it back...you should!..Never understood our local PD,they would take firearms from crimes and "gun turn ins",,smash em...cut them up....take them out in the gulf...miles out and toss them...a real waste of time and money...You must go 20 miles out just to get in 100' of water...waste of gas and time! Now they scrap them...

Interesting topic! I hope you get your gun back and the police and neighborhood leaves you in piece...Find the gold, be safe, good luck under the water!....

I hope you can get the gun back, too. That crooked adjustable wrench MAY be a " Fordson."

Called the chief, would never return my calls, Emailed him, he didn't reply, called the city supervisor, I was suposed to get a call back but never did. I called back and was told the gun belonged to somebody.. WRONG!!!! Contacted a lawyer, was going to meet him at 3pm today. Called the city to get a copy of the police report yesterday. Told me I could come in today and get it.

I got a call from an officer at the police department today and I was told the chief decided to let me have it!! How nice of him. Told me I needed to fill out a purchace permit in my county. LOL I did that last week!! Picked it up today and went to the police department. I was given my gun back!!

I will NEVER turn another gun into that department again. I will either bring it home and turn it in locally or call the state police now.

Ah, government officialdom......
