Shut downs and error messages

yes this tread is about the RECHARGEABLE BATTERY PACK possibly being the issue with the shut downs like larry said when he started the post hes asked that evryone try useing REGULAR ALKALINE AA BATTERY'S to see if the shut down continues

I am still in the middle of my initial charge. So far I have one shut down. Just did the tones when it turned off. I waited a few Minuit's and turned it back on and it stayed on until I quit and turned it off. It almost acts like maybe a component (integrated circuit or transistor) overheated and quit. Just a guess of course and I know Minelab will get to the bottom of the problem so I am not worried about it.

Mine froze 25 minutes into the hunt today that's the third time in 48 hrs use!The other 5 hrs were uneventful? Well I did dig gold, that was the first piece for the 3030.

I hope you can try the alkaline pack and see if it continues.

Word on another forum is that Minelab will release a firmware fix in the next few days.
(Hopefully there is a headphone fix included ;-)

I used an alkaline pack for a 6hr hunt today and had no problems. But the pack is 3/4 dead. I can't use alkaline batteries like that 8 a day would cost too much! Maybe an exstention cord with a USB cord so it can be programed as we go!
