It works great now have found gold with it twice now. They did not charge me at all in in fact gave me a xtra battery door because they noticed one I had was loose.... I lucked out on mine its as good of a condition you could possible get used. I baby mine

Those are great finds.I dont find much jewlrey because Ive gotton lazy in my old age and just look for coins.Anyway I called the tesoro co. and they said send in the box and coil and they will call and let me know how much they would charge if they thought they would have to.I thought it wouldnt cost anything.i aked about Rusty henry and he was in the back doing something.i hope it doesnt cost a lot.The lady i talked to also said I neede to send a letter with it and tell the what was wrong with it.i dont see any corrosion in the box just on the knobs. Thanks for all the replies and help from everyone. You are all Awsome. Thanks again .Quizpro

X5 was made by fisher.

You heard it right Quizpro,Tesoro first made Troy X2, Then Troy later joined with Fisher and Fisher made the Troy X5,and X3,with the Troy X3 being a somewhat lesser and cheaper version of the X5 so it was a bit easier (cheaper)on folks to basically still have an X5.Pretty much the way I suppose as the series of Tejon, Vaquero, and Cibola are all born of the same basic design and piecy parts but with different set-ups for different uses. I dont know if you saw my other post.i dont know my way around this site too well.Anyway i called and got a lady. I asked for rustysomething.i cant remember his name. They said i should send it in and they would look at it and tell me how much they would charge.it kind of sounded like it depended on how bad it was before they would charge me.Anyway when my husband gets paid i will take it down and send it in.i will let you know what happens when they call me.Quizpro

Hi AJ, do a Google on "Message Index,Troy Custom Detectors" and it should explain everything. According to the Warranty Statement Troy is still involved and does some of the Maint./whatever himself, and Fisher/First Texas does some. Either way, folks look to be pretty well taken care of for a long while! HH, Charlie
