Serious Question..not intended as an argument factor

Some more than others. Or, I should say different.

But the founders and owners designed

their machines with that in mind.

Than soon you will be a "Tesoro - user":). I use my Tejons for battlefields, ploughed fields, forest, beech, old settlements, camps etc. It is extremely versatile, it will go everywhere except water.

I have a chance to pick up a Silver UMax cheap. Wondered about the abilities of tesoros.
Anytime you can pick up a name brand detecotor, especially one with an after sale warranty likeTesoro's, you should. That's just good value.
Will it measure up to your XLT? In some ways, moreso.

Tha Silver is fun.

It is what I think of as a park cherry pickin machine.

It is satble, smooth, light and just an easy and simple

way to work a park.

It has a natural ability to reject a lot of small iron. But

it still can pick up small gold jewelry.

It is great for quick hunts.

Buying used, I have been able to collect 5 Tesoro'es.

At tha price, I can get ones that do different things.

I like my crew of machines. That Silver Sabre uMax

is one.

For a fun addition/backup detector in your arsenal, you will find it's hard to beat IMHO. With practice, you'll be surprised how well you can do with thumbing the disc. knob - you may not miss the TID nearly as much as you think and will probably dig a few goodies that fall in the trash range that you'd have been inclined to pass using TID.
