You make a good point. However, a couple of things to consider. I would guess the individuals you mentioned probably spend more time hunting than most of us, but I don't know that for a fact. I think another factor to consider would be how much old silver is everyone finding. For instance, I found 86 silvers this year. Only nine of those were 1946 or more recent. In fact 52 of my 86, or over 60% of all my silvers, were 1920 or older. I would be interested in knowing some of you other guys' percentages of 1920 and older vs 1921 and newer. I'm referring to silver coins only, and including war nickels. I would think the Eastern hunters should have a better percentage of older coins than the rest of us. By the way, I always hunt in manual. I think Charles(NY) explained it quite well in his post. HH, if you are able.
