I hope the metal detecting thing is true for future customers from this forum. Even if that's not true (?) somebody else said they will still do with customers who have used them before, and since I have I should be good that way maybe.

I guess I should also be good to go with my local dealer. Now that I thought about it why would my local dealer have to call them every time I go in? He knows they only skim 2% now so he can do the math on that day's gold prices without calling them.

I just feel lucky I've got a local dealer now that is matching ARA for me. Saves shipping and also I get the money on the spot.

ARA is fine, just got 2 checks from them....one tip, checks can come seperate if you have several items with stones...the delay was for stone removal, they returned the stones and sent the name of a company that wanted to buy them....on the forum you print out from there site, where they ask for business name just put your a metal detectorist...total time, one check was back in 10 days, the other came in 15

also just write ARA on the mailing address, leave out refinery from the address..reason, my post office clerk reconized the name refinery, Hate to say it but when you send in several ounces of treasure, trust no one at the shippers...

Just got off the phone with ARA (Allison) and she said it only applies to certain cases, since I have dealt with them as an individual metal detectorist I am good to go.....HH
