Seated Half made my day...

Hello All,

Not much detecting going on this year. Been way too dry to dig in any lawns; limiting myself to construction sites.

I heard at my local bar someone saw some construction going on in a local town. The next day I drove around the county seeing what was tore up. Very little.

I did see a couple of places, but most of the dirt was gone; class 5 filled everywhere. I gave them both a go. At one there were a few places where some of the original dirt remained.

Always fun to see a big silver reeded edge peering out from the dirt. It took me awhile to recognize what I had; wasn't thinking seated, thought I might have a foreign coin.

Second seated half of my detecting career. Got a seated quarter earlier this year. No dimes as of yet.

I'm going to try track down where they dumped all the dirt from this site.

Found with my trusty XS. CTX-3030 and Equinox still gathering dust.

Chris

Nice coin! I play with my explorer SE once in a while. I can't hunt very long due to the weight. Are you using conductive or ferrous?
