Seated dime laying on the ground

Rusty, you are welcome, the woods is huge. But as I said to Ken, any coins are far apart, takes a lot of walking. Camp Kilmer was next door.

if you go back and see my post on a virgin park, it was one where i was finding barbers, v nickles, buffs, IH.s and many other great coins, some on the surface and some just below. It was a known site (by the local farmer) as an old carnival site. My only explanation for the depth or lack there of of the coins was its proximity to the creek. In the last 30 years we had some major floods and Im surmising a lot of top soil was wash away leaving the coins exposed. A small park i still go back and hunt there, but no recent luck, as Ive gridded and hit that place so many times Ive even got every beer tab, piece of foil, etc out. If theres ever a big flood again, ill get back there for sure. CO
