Sea Hunter Mark II

Rainman

New member
I recently purchased a new Sea Hunter. I can't keep a steady threashhold tone even in air tests. It always wavers slightly and will null out. Is this normal or do I need to return it to be checked out. It finds items in both salt and fresh water just fine.

Oh yeah man, that's normal.:wiggle:That's just caused by electrical interference or atmospheric conditions because the machine is so sensitive.:garrett:I always hunt with mine in discreet trash elimination for better stability and then switch to standard to pinpoint the target. Standard trash elimination is just wayy too sensitive for regular hunting in my experience.:detecting:Best of luck to ya!:biggrin:I hope you've got a big long handled sand scoop. That MKll is the deepest machine I've ever used, aside from two-box units, of course. Happy Hunting!:)
