I used to have an Amigo II which was basically the same detector in the old configuration, always regretted selling it. It was a beast in tot lots, I could max the discrimination and get right next to the steel poles and still get the dimes and quarters. At one time I was addicted to buying Compadres. I have owned 7-8 of them...lol. Most of them different models. Round hole speaker, horizontal hole. 8" doughnut, 7" concentric, 5.75 concentric and the Euro version which had volume control.
What's in your garden and how deep ? Please.I picked up a closet queen Tesoro Compadre with the donut coil today, very pleased! Unbelievable results in my test garden, picked up everything.

I liked the round hole speaker with the 7" concentric. Hard to find now.Which did you like the best ?
Is this that one. Just picked it up a few weeks ago.I liked the round hole speaker with the 7" concentric. Hard to find now.
That doesn't surprise me one bit. It reminds me of the 410 shotgun; a good learning tool for beginners but extremely effective for an expert.picked up everything.
The round speaker ones had a higher tone.Is this that one. Just picked it up a few weeks ago.
Appears new. Thinking it was a closet. Runs great.
Kool. I can't hear higher times. The round speaker ones had a higher tone.
Your coil is the 8" doughnut. Should be a little deeper. I just prefer a slightly smaller coil for the tot lots. Mostly same machine.Kool. I can't hear higher times.
Was that the only difference ?
Is that the coil on mine ?
Planning on doing the coil mod. And the sensitivity mod. Debating doing the GB mod.
I have the 4.75 for the Mojave.Your coil is the 8" doughnut. Should be a little deeper. I just prefer a slightly smaller coil for the tot lots. Mostly same machine.
That's the same as mine.Is this that one. Just picked it up a few weeks ago.

These are the coils I have for the Mojave.
Sad I can't use them on the Tejon an Compadre.
The Mojave seems to get closer to iron pipes and fence than the Compadre. Why I want to do the sensitivity mod.
I had a Mojave. I always have wondered how far they have the sensitivity set on a Compadre.I have the 4.75 for the Mojave.
