Saw a refference to something called the MXSPORT. Any idea what it is?

I seen something about a water proof MXT, don't know if it was true or not. Would be nice if it were. I have used my old MXT for many years now, still one of the best coin and ring detector ever built. I am trying a Deus as of now, but other than a lot of setting it is not much better than the MXT. I know I have not used the Deus much so need to give it a chanse . Whites makes a very good detector.

There is a big full color Whites advertisement in the Treasure Cache Treasure Facts Annual 2016 digital copy advertisement that is included in the Lost Treasure Newsletter I receive through email. You can't see the detector itself but it does show a new DD coil. I can't post pictures through my proxy or I'd put up a picture of it. Maybe someone else can get a picture of the ad on here.

The Advertisement says "Waterproof". There is a detector laying down beside a stream. You only get to see the coil and lower rod. The coil is a round DD coil design with a yellow sticker that I think says MXSport. This appears to be the back cover of the digital Treasure Cache Treasure Annual of 2016 put out by Lost Treasure.

I was able to find this.

Oh here we go, start saving up. So Mary at White's was telling it straight when she said something new was in the works coming out soon. Where do I sign? How do i get to field test one of thoughs?

:surprised: I've already seen enough! I know I WILL be buying one as soon as they are out.

The MXT is one of the best detectors ever ... for a whole lot of reasons. If White's is putting the MXT guts into a new waterproof and updated modern setup, then they will have a winner.

No info yet. But gotta make sure if W/Proof for both salt &fresh water or not. Just in case it would matter to the buyer.

I am sure it will be for both salt and fresh. As I undestand it the AT Pro is just for fresh

SOME Single FREQUENCY Detectors will WORK in SOME Saltwater Environments, but NOT with the P-R-O-F-I-C-I-E-N-C-Y of a MULTI-FREQUENCY Detector!! Therefore, I
PERSONALLY hope it's a MULTI-FREQENCY Waterproof Detector, that can SERIOUSLY C-O-M-P-E-T-E with EXCALIBURS and CZ-21's!! WHITES is LONG O-V-E-R-D-O for ONE!!

The MXT has a beach mode right?

MXT and MX5 have beach modes, my MXT runs little more stable on wet sand and ankle deep salt water than my MX5. But then again I have a bad habit of trying to push a detector as high on the sensitivity as I can and not drive myself crazy with false tones. Dual frequency will compete with their Beach Hunter 300, so doubt they will add just one more frequency without stopping production of the BH. Now add a few more say 3 frequency and I'm all in for that!

I'd even "settle" :)rolleyes:) for a dual frequency MX Sport. The two I'd like would be 7.5 and 22.5 kHz. 22.5kHz would be killer on small gold, jewelry and nuggets, and 7.5 would be good for coins, large jewelry, and just general purpose. These frequencies are compatible with all the existing V-rated coils so White's wouldn't have to design and build a whole new set of coils for just the MX Sport. Let the user be able to select either freq, or, or both. Write the software so that there is excellent accuracy using correlation of the two signals when using both frequencies simultaneously. Dual frequency would also sure make the MXT work better on the beach.

Of course all this is dreaming, since the new MX Sport is undoubtedly already coming off the production line and the design phase is long over. But maybe for the MX Sport "Pro" model to come out next year!

You need to pass those ides along to White's Wayfarer. That would be a killer machine, grea t for coins, and killer on gold.

So it is. But most of the users do not know for sure how to use it. They say the m6 is a better beach machine!??? WTF??
The m6 HAS the same engine with less screws to adjust the machine to the owners prefernces. It's more like automatic operation.
It has great coin shooting capabilities, but the MXT Pro has, too.

As mentioned in man yother threads, there is a dual frequency machine for the beach/water area. It was White's Beach Hunter ID [BHID] and now is the Beach Hunter 300.
A waterproof DFX to say.
And 22.5 kHz for the wet salt water sand? Are you serious?
