First of all, I'm still trying to figure out how to post my video of a cut being made at my favorite beach this past week. I was there on Wednesday evening and when I got there this morning I could see that the beach had cut even more since then. Like Wednesday, I actually found more down the beach from the cut rather than just below it.
In fact, it was one long productive pocket about 50 yards long and 20 feet wide. I found 90 coins (19 quarters), a Mercury Dime and my first good silver chain.
I probably should have taken a before and after picture of the chain but I didn't realize it would clean up so well. When I found it, it was a black, frozen, balled-up, tangled mess. I thought there was no way I was going to straighten this thing out without breaking a link. I tossed it in the tumbler with the Merc for an hour, spent about 20 minutes working out the knots, hit it with some 0000 steel wool and then used some Wright's silver cream on it. It still needs a little more work but so far so good![attachment 160350 IMG_2576.JPG]
Still on bit of a gold slump but today was a good day- the beach was beautiful, the targets were everywhere and no other detectors in sight!
