Sandy is on her way and this time looks like its the real deal

So far it's a bit of a bust for mid FL east coast beaches. One friend was on Cocoa today and said there was hardly any erosion. He also got nailed by a big one near the dune line and ended up chasing his scoop down the beach. We're all hoping the high tide and north quadrant winds tonight will produce something. Mid day low tide tomorrow and I'll either take a crack at the tresure coast, Cocoa or Daytona. Be careful out there folks!!!

The Weather channel's Jim Cantore just interviewed a detectorist on Singer Island. Missed his name, my wife called me in to see it. He had a gold grill and about 4-5 rings with stones and ice. Said he had been out for a couple of hours and the sand was really moving out.

Good luck...wish I was in the area!

Im going to check the other spot we hunt (the big bay) to see if they did the same thing. If they did I will message you and I'll be out at first light. If they haven't look for me on the beach by you in the morning.

Dude this things a beast be careful. They place where I hunt is totally sanded in. Dug some deep coins but that's about it. Waves weren't even big by me yet. I think by Wednesday the beach may not be there at all and it could be one of those type hunts we read and dream about. Stay safe and be careful.
