Sand Flea Rake for trashy areas

Anyone ever try this form of treasure hunting? I watched someone using a sand flea rake as their metal detector was overwhelmed with signals. Hundreds of pull-tabs, bottle caps and misc junk were cleaned from the sand. However, they also found clad, misc junk jewelry and a few gold, silver and tungsten rings!
If I was close to beach areas that were polluted with junk, I would definitely invest in a sand flea rake. Looks like fun!!
