got only a couple coins..still a lot of purple sand at top of the beach...I took some photo's of it...hope the purple color shows up. not to bad out little cold not much wind 25-28 degrees.. Was it only at the top of the beach or was it in different places?

I'm not sure what the make up of it is......it shows up at the top half of the beach from the high tide line down..some times very far down the slope of the beach....alot of times when the purple sand shows up the old silvers very close....at least on some north shore beaches.

on and off for the next week, so hopefully the waves will cooperate and pull a bit more sand out again. No big NE'rs on the near horizon that I can see, but maybe we'll get enough wind to open up some spots.

I've been working too many hours for too many days lately, so I'm going to try desparately to get out probably Sunday afternoon - I'm not a huge football fan so I'll probably have the whole area to myself. If the wind really picks up on Sunday I might even try to get out of work early for one of the really low tides later next week.

what machine are you using hunter? good area for a bit of the gold stuff when the sand gets darker.

Great quality and great customer service. This is definitely one of those cases where you get what you pay for - they may "seem" to be expensive, but they hold up and imho they're worth every penny.
