New to the forums - this is my first post here - I suspect that if you just unpacked and assembled the unit that it may have been condensation on the circuit board or coil connector from changing temperatures and it just took time for the components to equalize to the ambient temperature and the condensation to evaporate.

If not that then maybe it was just PFM.... I don't have a Tesoro (yet) but maybe they each come with their own personalities.... Yours was just cranky from the long trip !

Not sure where you are at but my Tesoro can not be fired up in my house. Way too much chatter/interference.
Personally I kinda like that. It tells me the thing is sensitive.
