rbholt80 said:
heres the ptrn file im running. My setting are listed several times around in the forum. if any one wants the setting file i will get it from my e-trac later and post it. just ask if you want it.

Keep getting an error message when I go to load the pattern up in the Exchange Program so that I can view it. Error says "The File has Corrupted Data"
Would you mind checking and reposting if there is in error in your pattern.

Thanks
DJH

Hi Mick, It's great that you've finally used this ability of the Explorer . The Etrac and the Ex SE give the added option of pitch hold.

On the Explorers, 2 has always been my favorite.

At times, I've used 3 on the sandy beach, but 2 seems a little easier and what I use in parks and inland sites for most coin detecting. It's always the best for the Au. $1 & $2 coins. Seems to indicate them at a better depth.

G'day Dave.
If rbholt80 hadn't started this thread, then I wouldn't have remembered the audio settings. So a big thanks rbholt80!:clapping:
I completely agree with you about audio 2. It's like the light finally went on for me with the Explorer. I was pretty stoked at how easy it is to tell what is under the coil. Even the square pull tabs are easy to hear as well. I wrote a post over on the Explorer forum about it, but it seems I'm more excited about it than most.
You're right about the $1 and $2 coins. They are so easy to tell apart from screw caps. Some dead flat screw caps can fool you, but it doesn't get much better than that.
I'm glad to hear that the E-trac offers the same feature, as my poor old Explorer isn't in the best of shape and it may not be economical to get it fixed up. It still works fine for now though, so it will stay. I got to play around with an E-Trac 6 weeks back and was super impressed with how well balanced they are. They only feel like they weigh 1.5kgs!
You might have to show Pinpointa these features so you can convert him from his X-Terra.:poke::lol:
All the best and it was good to hear from you again.
Mick Evans.
