Royal, take a moment and look at this "photo taking" box..................

on a couple of red wasp bees that are sleeping on the bird bath in the back yard. I will get back to you later, hopefully with a nice wasp bee bug macro photo. Thanks for the tip! Kelley (Texas) :)

alcohol saturated Q Tip...they wanted to sting me. Debbie has a bottle of Windex glass cleaner under the kitchen sink, and it is in a plastic bottle with the pumper spray gizmo. Tomorrow I will dump the glass cleaner out of it and replace it with alcohol. This should enable me to spray the wasp bee with alcohol...should knock one of them out long enough to take a good macro picture. I will let you know how it works. Please have a great day! Kelley (Texas) :)

I am out of the bug macro photography for the time being. Please have a great day! Kelley (Texas) :)

I said I did it with BUTTERFLY"S, not Wasps...

it would work on other type bugs too...wrong! It pi$$ed them off when I tried to spray them with the alcohol that I had put in the Windex glass cleaner bottle. I barely escaped to the safety of the house.

Royal, my main problem when I try to take a natural bug macro photo is that I have trouble getting close enough to the bug and when I do, I can not seem to get a clear picture with the bug moving around instead of staying still. I really need to try taking pictures of other things and give this a temporary rest.

Cierlast has been taking beautiful barn pictures and I have thought about taking some pictures of the barns down here for his collection. Our barns down here are not as fancy as the ones up in his neck of the woods because their barns are built for dairy cattle that produce milk where as our cattle are meat producing animals. Most of the barns down here are for storing hay or equipment.

In a few minutes, I am going to sit down at the kitchen table with the camera and owner's manual to learn some more things about using this camera. Sooner or later, I will understand how to properly use this camera. Please have a great day! Kelley (Texas) :)
