Good morning. I need help. My detector suddenly seems hyper-sensitive. Even with the loop in the air sometimes, it beeps quite a bit. It seemed to start that overnight. Do loops go bad overnight? Is there a quick adjustment or maybe a setting that has defaulted that I do not know of? Keep in mind I am a rookie user too. Thank you.

Good advice, Dave. That reminds me to check that the trigger is in center position when switching on.

Pull the battery. Wait...... put it back.
Wires can break anytime...
EMI can creep in too. See if it is noisy in other locations.
Swap coils if possible.
