First I want to thank EVERYONE on this forum for being so open, helpful and caring.
I don't know if i would have amassed the knowledge and skill on how to use my sword had i not stumbled onto this forum....
Special thanks goes out to GulfHunter for all of his insight and OldBeechNut for those great training videos.

Now for the good stuff - the gold gods are finally shining down on me.
After at least 20 solid hunts from mid-June to now, with at least 65+ hours invested in the hobby, yesterday I was rewarded with my first small gold ring find which I posted yesterday.

Well, today was a REAL heart stopper - check out this old and most likely custom-made men's beauty - marked 585 (Europe 14K) in both yellow and white gold with about a 1/4 carat center diamond plus 18 small rubies and 8 small diamonds...

Oh Man - I am hooked now........(wife's a believer now too)

Interesting layout on the ring. Kind of makes you wonder if this guy had a ring made to match or resemble his nations flag.

Closest I could find:

Obn.........Naples

i didn't think i had a scale and then i remembered that 30+ year old triple beam I kept around (from those old college days....LOL)...
anyway - weighs in at 10.3 grams...

Just think what else is waiting out there for ya!!

I to have found the guys helpful, I think the key to this is consistency. You research, swing the detector and you will find "stuff", good luck.

definitely a real good find-keep that coil swinging theres more where that came from-it does look custom made- have it checked out but don't sell it

Ooooh yeah, now thats a bit of the good stuff.

Cheers
