These finds are from a school and a very old park.
The silver quarter is from a school that was torn down and most of the clad change and a few wheats.
So sat we a friend and I decided to detect a school then to the park well my friend found a small silver ring at the school also and a bunch of clad also.
We left and decided to detect the park which has a old house on it that dates 1840’s it’s along the Long Island sound so we figured it’s going to be good or it’s been detected before which it appears to have been.
We still found some wheat pennies and old buttons and I found the National defense pendant then under a huge tree I had a very scratchy signal on my Nox there were lots of nails dug here also with coins and I dug a huge cut nail in photo.
I cut my plug and checked it nothing still in the hole down almost 11” I saw a silver edge it looked like a class ring!!!
It was United States Air Force! I had just found a pair of wings two weeks ago now this ring it has no initials inside but it was my best find for the morning. About $12.00 in change 15 wheats
I also found a old copper two old flat buttons I will be going back it’s a big area I’m sure there’s some silver coins in there..
Field 2
Sensitivity 21-23
Iron 0

I have my non silver USAF ring I bought at Lackland AFB (Basic Training) in 1975. It looks nearly identical in design, I do not know if the design changed at any point to help identify a time frame. Neat finds !!!
