Release date, Maybe....

Jason, Great response. Dead on point! A lot of these posts are like reading comments from a bunch of women about the Black Friday sales and "Why cant I"???

Release date is just in time to sit in the closet untill winter thaws out. Four months of warranty down the drain. :sadwalk:

If the 800 can find anything in some of the areas I have pounded with the V3I, F75LTD2, and Etrac it will be worth the little money it cost (compared to my other machines).

Best addiction I could ever have :)

My hunting buddy talked to the Minelab Customer Relations USA person last week and was told they hope to get them out before the end of the year, but no specifics at this time. FYI

I'm on a list somewhere, but once the ground is frozen, there isn't much to be done in the way of detecting in my neighborhood. Looks like temps in the 'teens and snow in the forecast later this week.

I did order a couple books to peruse through while the snows are flying.

Sounds like a few of you guys need to come spend your winters out here in Arizona! Our swinging season is just getting started...perfect release date for a new machine! 76* degrees in Prescott today :punch:!

Dean

That would depend on where you chose to live in this country I detect all winter. All those tot lots, parks, ball fields have been resting all summer while I worked the beaches. Now I will spend the winter working the parks playgrounds, tot lots and on the rare occasion a beach.

Dean,

I think you need to start arranging some metal detecting trips for a small group of snowbirds this winter.

Come on down, Rich.
Nugget shooting season is upon us here. The desert weather is perfect. Bring your GPX ! I'm headed out this weekend to add to the poke.

Dean,

I have always wanted to have a go at gold nugget detecting BUT have a couple minor handicaps. First, I’ve not had a nugget hunting connection in either az, ca, or nv to get me started and off in the right direction. Second, I lack the equipment and the know how. That said, I have enough other detectors that I could sell the spares and buy a modest used Minelab of some sort but there would be a lot of wet behind the ears going on for a while. Maybe it is time to do something about that.

I’ve watched enough nugget hunting videos that in some ways I feel like I’ve been digging gold nuggets and 22 bullets and casings most of my life.

Ground could be frozen in a month for us. I may just wait until spring and let the Southerners swing it for a couple months to see what it really is all about..

Well, after talking to my dealer, I have a less than stellar feeling about the release. The Profind pinpointers were supposed to be released on the 13th. What happened was that the dealers were allowed to begin taking orders for them. Nobody has them yet and they are going to be a "rolling release" which really means as shipments come in, they go out to the next group of people waiting. Garrett did this and it took months for most people the carrot pointers.

If they are doing this with the profind, it will probably happen with the detector too.
