Well last night, after buying a new digger, I managed to find 3 cents! One was at a local kiddy park (however I only had about 20 minutes there because I had to get home for dinner.) The other two were in my back yard again. The digger I got at Lowes and it has a serrated edge (great for cutting through roots!) And it has inch marks up to 4 inches. The coin I found at the kiddy park was kinda special, it ended up being a 1980 (My birth year!!)

While at the park I found two old hinges that kept coming up as nickles. (No doubt they were made of nickle!)

This morning I headed to a local park hiking trail in hopes of finding something people may have dropped. I usually hiked there last year, so I know the trails very well. I guess people do observe nature...not even FOIL!! But after 3 hours I managed to squeak out two pennies and a dime.

I'm starting to learn that my ACE250 likes to bounce around on junk but if it's a real coin, three or four times in the a row it signals the same item, it usually is.

Well, off to a doctors appointment and this evening going to hit the park by the local river! Wish me luck!

Last night I found my first "returnable item!"

It was a dog tag for a Rosalyn. I called the owner, and he will call me back to arrange pick-up. Otherwise I only found .25 in two dimes and five pennies. I have learned that Miller Genune Draft bottle caps ring up as silver on occation! I went to a senic overview by my house and basically hammered out the whole place in an hour and a half. It was a good learning experience because I've had to turn down my sensativity to almost 2 because of how much it would bounce around ringing trash targets as something worth digging. Hopefully I'll find some really cool finds soon!
