re-thinking gettin a new motorcycle...:|

...WHY;you ask?....Well;it just seems to me it is kinda counter-productive-Going thousands deeper into debt;maintenance issues;insurance,etc....Just so I can get 50 MPG;and save money on gas this summer...If I didnt have to put money into motorcycle payments, insurance, and all that goes with owning another vehicle I would be saving money in the long run,anyway....Probably a LOT more than gettin one to get 50 MPG...

many cycle owners become organ doners!:goodnight:

1981 750cc Honda F Series Super Sport. Just got 15000 miles on it. Hasn't been licensed since 1995. I just quit ridin. In the 60s and 70s I practially lived on them, the old homemade choppers. I was toughter in my younger days. Someday I might start ridin again. I guess thats why I keep that old bike around.
God Bless

Honda Magna that would fly! My first son came along and I decided to sell it before I joined the pavement! :)

its needed carb work and putting the correct right side brake fluid reservoir/mirror mount. (The reservoir on there is the wrong one - easy to tell - I have no mirror mount so no mirror on the right.) Our garage has no space. Once we went over to the mother-in-laws and brought back things we had stuffed in her garage our garage became 3/4 full. With Sherry and I having all these medical problems we haven't had a chance to do anything in the garage - or even work on the motorcycle
Then with my Dad's passing the remaining 1/4 filled the garage to capacity. I can't even get to the motorcycle let alone work on it.

Sure would love to have it ready by spring but that won't be a possibility at this point. I had hoped last summer it would be on the road, then fall came and went. I'd like to invite the garbage truck to back up my driveway and pitch everything. Oh well I'm rambling. Maybe by the end of May I can get to the bike....Sherry wants to have a yard sale in May. Still would like to get into the motorcycle ministry bringing Christ to other bikers and to fellowship with other Christian bikers....Our minister of our church and several others ride and are members of a motorcycle ministry - would like to be riding with them too.

Saving gas would be nice.

I've almost forgotten what it is...hmmm...Honda CX500 Custom (1979) that I bought last spring - still haven't gotten it registered, fixed up or anything - its buried in the garage.

I probably would too if I had an accident....would probably bleed to death from the blood thinners even before the ambulance could get to me.

ride a Harley Heritage Springer when I'm not swingin' the coil accross the ground. You are definately correct...the Magna's would flat out fly. I went into a high speed wobble on the V65 and swore I would not right it again...and I never did. I don't think the frame was strong enough to handle all the horsepower on the V65. Now I've slowed down to the ol' Harley and back into detecting. I think I've been detecting for around 27 years now.

maybe get SE to find deeper targets :D: ;) Just show your wife now much you saved by not getting one :D:
