RE: Program for the UK

Hi all

Could anyone find it in their hearts to send me a hammered/roman coin program. I really need a base to start with and my brain just starts to fizzle when I try. I understand if they are too proprietary.
Regards,

DH

Start in Relic set sens and gain to conditions. Do not try a magic programme from the internet, you will be dissapointed.
After using relic a while adjust one thing at a time to understand what it does and if it improves performance for you.

I was slow in coming up with something for you and glad I was! Delta's advise is simple and solid! The "romans" have so many variables as to composition and oxidation that "Relic" is the perfect place to start. I guess you guy's find a lot of "scroats" in the AE 3/4 range? (That period of bronze can have huge variables especially.) Good luck and keep us posted!

Hi im new to the forum im in the uk and i prefer the hi pro mode with slight adjustments i find it best as it accepts to-20 which is better on roman sites with tone id off with recovery around 60 just experimenting at the moment but ive found hammered and roman with this program.the season has just started here so will try a few things and see how it goes!!!

I'd agree - I have developed three programmes based on Relic (all similar but using 3-freqs or 22.5 KHz - for hammered) and have found a cut-half hammered and a 13thC brooch in VERY dry conditions. I am currently working on developing one based on Hi-Pro .... but I'm trying not too change too many things at once. Interestingly, I am currently running my Hi-Pro setup pretty close to what Ripfloyd suggests.
