Racer 3

The waterproof feature of another detector that just came out got me to this thread. The Impact looks more interesting but I haven't seen any mention of it being dunkable. That and of course, wp headphones.

The ability to save programs.
Multi-frequency choice.
The ability to discriminate any or all target segments.
A lot more target segments.
Multi-tone

I like the direction they took the R2 from the R1.

Additional features I'd like to see:
  • Multiple frequencies (at once) which the Impact appears to have.
  • More depth (always looking for that).
  • RED LED adjustable backlight.
  • Don't need the vibrating handle (why add the weight/cost?).
  • Please don't get rid of the trigger, love having the trigger on my machines!

X2

I would like too see a water proof housing,a better iron/conductivity number sorta like the E-trac and some whites so we can tell what we are digging better,a built in stand,a target size graph.

I think just move on and create a new machine like the impact

By the way for a quick fix for your prop to keep the Racer out of the mud you can put 2" spring clamp on your machine just below the upper control box .....you can pick them up for a couple of bucks at any hardware store. If the fit is not snug and the grip end of the clap wont stay pointed down just wrap a little electrical tape around the shaft for it to bite into better

A quick fix for under $5 If it is not comfortable there move it closer to the curve in the handle so the tip is not against your arm.

Makro are bringing a stand out later this year for the racer - a much needed item by any one's standard - i hate to see my racer toppling over on every dig!
