racer 2 stand

Where did you find it?

Had it in my spare detector parts box. For the life of me I can't remember were I bought it from and how long ago. It fits and works perfectly . It's light and made out of plastic. If I remember were I got it, I'll let you know. I need to get another for my other machine.

well I recon this is becoming a very common thread title , time for them to issue us a factory one  seriously don't give me a unit to test I wouldn't have even turned it on till this issue was addressed.

Thank you Albert.

also on anderson detector shafts dot com ... I know they don't like links here but that is all one word and they have them in multiple colors

thanks

doesn't float my boat though looks cheap and nasty would have thought Makro would have the smarts to get the electronics off the ground ??? I have to wonder sometimes about tech people minelab best electronics in a detector common sense very low , hope Makro haven't been drinking the minelab koolaide .

come on guys lift the bar just an inch or so :clapping:

where all rooting for you here we know it takes time to get stuff sorted but electronics in the mud and guts its not so flash of an idea :poke:

I made a fix on my GR adds the weight of a Tesoro arm cuff balance is ok and its strong enough get that same idea going on at the back adjoined to the makro arm cuff around and over the electronics at the back there, cant be a huge job yeah a new mould and new cuff /stand run going to cost money and that sux we know new logo etc...

but if we accept 2nd best we get 2nd best.

Had that stand. It would hit my thigh during a hunt while swinging. In fact all those stands you see stick out and hit you. Those ones made out of PVC especially. So then do you know what you do? You stick your arm out further and now your body is off balance. Bad back and fatigue. Put the waterproof cover on and let it hit the ground. The only stand that will work is one that you can flip down right before you want to put the detector down. And it better have a good hinge because that is a lot of flips.

Here's mine again. No issues hitting my thigh. Removable, fits my T2 also.

completely agree with this! hey Makro engineering, try going out and detecting in a field in the wet (with no protective cover, ie no
pro pack) and see how the speaker and battery cover like being set directly in the mud...and remember it will need to be cleaned each time! the 'cleaning' could also lead to further damage....do yourselves a favor Makro to avoid future issues and get on this ASAP....

Dilek, you really need to have your team design something this this one (Anderson?) and provide it (retroactively also)...

cheers, hori

Well you could buy the covers or buy a stand. Or even better, not put your detector in mud. " It's called common sense " . They never claimed it was " i.e... Mud ,water proof. So ASAP buy a stand and a cover. I think a lot of people expect to much . I think this company is great. You seen the detector and bought it. No one told you to buy it. I like to keep my detectors clean and if that cost a few dollars , then be it. I use the cover on the battery box , but not the control head because I see the finish rubbing off on my control head , but not a problem on my battery box. GS

Nokta have said they see the problem and are working on a fix, don't really think who is doing what and how after market is relevant after their statement of working on a fix, I like their can do attitude

in the mean time those who have made fixes for there detectors will think theirs is the best that's human nature and well what ever works hey :bouncy:

as for not getting a detector dirty :lmfao:

so the whys and wherefores are not important any more what is important is keeping that back bit dry and dirt free until Nokta have a fix for us.

the company has seen it as a design flaw and are working on a fix and look I might be hard but I am also fair and when I see a company stand up and suck it up I grow in respect for them, there are 2 sorts of people in the world those who want to be the best they can be and those who know they made a mistake but its someone else fault or their ego wont let them see the fault, the former has humility and is willing to grow and change and the other gets drug through life kicking and screaming.

granted we can all be on that sliding scale from day to day.

just glad to see a company with some humility which in the right sense of the word means truth.

so well done Makro cant wait to see what you come up with  so I can bust my make shift one off and have a Makro one I would really like that !!

These Anderson stands are Hella cool, not gonna find anything better. Gonna be hard to engineer anything better. All plastic, even the bolts that tighten are plastic and won't scratch the rod. If I remember it was like $19 on ebay. It even fits in my pocket ha ha ha . They weigh nothing and don't notice when swinging. If for some strange reason it does bother u when swinging could just spin it around to the top. That would be cool if makro Would just add one of these in the pro packs. Wouldn't even need the cover for the battery box then.
