Question ......Do You Like To Hunt With Someone, Or Hunt Alone

It solely depends on who I am hunting with.

Treasure4....I laughed good & hard about your son's 'paranoia'. Sounds like a typical 12 yo boy:) Image is everything at that stage in life. I was the same way.

I like to hunt with someone in a lot of situations. I have some fairly severe health problems that for the most part are under control but you never know what might happen. I have my cell phone but hunt with it off and sometimes might have trouble telling 911 where I am exactly at. I like the camaraderie of hunting and sharing the fun of a good find. In some neighborhoods having a partner or two makes it safer.

I like to hunt alone, I find I concentrate better. Maybe I take it to serious now that I think about it, hmmmmm.

I hunt alone, but my best friend always wants to tag along, so I think " What the Heck "

I tell him he can come along, as long as he behaves himself.

Here is a pic of him.

Always alone. But I sure meet and talk to a lot of people along the way.Unless I'm in the woods then I just talk to the animals, except for snakes, I won't speak to them.HH

I'be been hunting for a year but always alone. I must admit, I look overmy shoulder a lot whn in the woods.

I like hunting with my 7 year old granddaughter the best. I find the target and she handles the Pro Pointer and digs it up. Her delight in the things we find and the time spent together is the greatest treasure.:inlove: Unfortunately I only get to see her once a year as she lives 1600 miles away. Most of the time I hunt alone, early morning on my days off, but sometimes I can get one or two friends to come along, although metal detecting isn't their main hobby.

With the type of hunting we do (woods and relic), we don't hunt alone.

We go into some pretty spars places with a lot of wild life around when we are looking for old camps and relics.

We also carry Mic Phones to communicate when we are out of sight of each other (which isn't very often).

Just the way we do things in our neck of the woods.:)

Alone 95% of the time. I am a single father of 2 little ones and have a very hectic schedule, some weeks I dont even get to detect. I've got a alot more important things to do besides swingin a coil.
