Question ......Do You Like To Hunt With Someone, Or Hunt Alone :shrug:

I usually hunt by myself, my choice of places, my choice of time hunting. But, sometimes it is fun to hunt with friends.

It depends where I'm hunting. parks I like to hunt alone as to not draw attention with a bunch of guys digging holes. In the woods I like being with friends for safety, never know who out there or medical reason. It's always fun to show a good find to someone as soon as it comes out of the ground. JMO

Well my wife and I hunt as a team, I find 'em and she digs 'em. But beside that we usually hunt with a good friend. Good company makes a hunt better!

It is always more fun to hunt with someone because friendly Competition makes you work harder.
And safety is a big concern these days. My dad has been my best hunting partner for twenty years
I would not take any thing for the time we have spent together.

It's normal for me to hunt alone, although lately I've been sharing my favourite site with a couple of other detectorist, as we all show up at the same time (not organised). I have actually gone out with the local detectorist club here once. They only hunt on the goldfields with their PI machines. It was a fun day out. Apart from that, I've organised a few hunts with a couple of other local coin hunters and gotten together with a couple of foum members for a couple of hunts in Sydney.

Well, I started this great hobby hunting by myself for about 4 years. Then met my hunting buddy and we hunted for about 3 - 4 seasons every weekend. Lately he's been doing a lot of woods hunting and I hate the woods. Highly allergic to poison ivy and I hate ticks... So been hunting this season myself. All depends I guess. In sketchy areas, I prefer to hunt with someone

If it is my first time at a location and I can get there on my own, I hunt alone...If it is a very large place, and it is a distance from me, I like to try to get my friends to go along with me...I am not a greedy hunter, and believe there is enough in the ground for everybody. I also like the competition...lol

I like to go with my little man aka my 12 yr old son and hubby usually comes along. My older son came also once or twice but I don't know how much fun he thought it was. Honestly I think I had more fun than anyone. lol :blush:
My youngest is paranoid about people watching, etc. I told him "who gives a crap!?" And if he wants we can wear hats and shades if he's afraid he'll see a friend he knows. LOL
