Quattro Question

Flintstone

Well-known member
How dose everyone keep your coil from coming loose? I have the 10" coil on my Quattro and don't want to over tighten it. Hard to find good coils. Can i just add more washers? Thank for any help, flintstone

Thanks PDH, I just don't want to brake a coil ear. I will try and put on more washers.
The Washers on the Quattro is the tear drop rubber washers that many of the Minelabs use. Most good Minelab dealer should have them in stock or the auction site. These wear out with moving the coil so they are probably wore out and wont hold tight.
now if you are using the factory bolt with new rubber tear drop washer I thing you will be ok as I used to stock them myself and change a few of them with that problem and could finger tighten them up with no problems.
