Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

They need to make their cans with little leashes that keep them with the can. Im dead serious.

Hi All, You know i am not that old,< well maybe> but i remember when all soda only came in bottles, no pull tabs, needed a church key to open them. and the bottle was wourth 5 cents. Now what happened to the good old days. My goodness I AM OLD. Flintstone

Hi Folks; The pull tab was invented in 1953.Why couldn't they think of this stuff before nw.!!!! If I had all the pull tabs for scrap I ever dug I'd be rich.In this case filthy rich.PEACE:RONB   Well bust my bubbles!!!!!

Just a shame people are such slobs with all their trash! Is it that hard to pick up your crap and take it with ya? If they're going to throw stuff it should be their gold & silver. For that I would forgive them.

Thinking back to the late 70's when i 1st started detecting , back then the UK Beach's were like a carpet of pull tabs, for the last few years most cans have tabs you don't remove from the can , so the situation has improved a lot these days' they sell very cheap beach tents on the coast round here so i find tent pegs everywhere.

All I have a two year old grandson born with heart deformities and had open heart surgery at six months of age. The Mc donald house provided the support and housing for my daughter and son-in-law while they were there. They were wonderful and believe me most helpful for two young parents. So I am a little biased on the pull tabs and yes I collect them in my house and send them to them and other donations. I gallon allows one mom and dad on night free stay in thier house while their child is getting the help they need. So please remember as big a pain on the Butt they are there is some good coming out of them.
By the way the child is two years old and healthy as a horse and little or no sign of scars or residual affect on him for the rest of his life is the prognosis.

Thanks all and smile when you dig one!!!

I remember Coor's beer used to have two large "buttons" you pushed in to open the can. These buttons stayed attached and folded inward. That was back in the early 70s. Apparently it did not catch on.

Hi folks; I definitely noticed briley59's Post. I pray no one "ever" takes that generosity for granted.I'm in a bad way myself right now but I have a question??
Why don't we "ALL" as treasure hunters get together and "Donate" every pulltab we can find instead of discing them out while we are digging??? Question??: briley59: Would you either accept pulltabs mailed to you or can you post a site address for the Ronald McDonald House???? Just think: We all could help out ere and "clean" up beaches Nation wide here and overseas. Think of the day that when you get a signal you know it's a good target.!!!!!
As the saying goes : "One mans tash is aother mans treasure." What do you guys say???? :wiggle: PEACE:RONB :super:

Thanks we all hear about places like this but to see them in action is different. They really do a great job with what they do.
