Proper Use Of Notch & Discrimination Settings

The F75 beep can be compared to the tesoros for reference if you haven't heard one. Don't write it of for depth, i had to see it to belive it and was gobsmacked at times. Works fine on the wet sand as long as you manual ground balance(without having to back of on sensitivity) even though its a single frequency machine, its not the fisher flagship for nothing.

I've heard the T2 versions of that machine are slightly better? At least I think I've heard that said of the T2LTD I think?

Yes, but I'm saying I heard the LTD version of the T2 line is better than the LTD version of the Fisher. Same deal with the T2 compared to the F75. Could be wrong about that, but I think I've read that here and there.

The main difference between the 2 is the discrimination scale, the f75 has from 1 to 15 for the iron and the rest to 99 for the non ferous, the T2 has 1 to 40 for iron and the rest to 99 for non ferous, having a wider iron disc the T2 would be probably be better for relic hunting or in old ghost towns, but a wider non ferous scale the f75 has would probably be better otherwise, i haven't had anything to do with the LTD versions of either. other things, the T2 has no backlight and also when you switch it off all settings are lost, the F75 has backlight and switches on exactly how it was switched off, other than that virtually the same machine. fantastic batery life on both, 30hours + on 4 good AA alkalines.
