Problems

edit - never mind, not worth the trouble

Hi 1848Cal

I hope you get your speaker issue fixed. I'm sure Minelab service will treat you well.

Regarding the WM08 wireless module, I heard some of my buddies and some very experienced detectorists complain about the need for the WM08 much like you did and especially why it was not an option. They sold theirs.
For the first 8 months of using my Nox 800 and 600 I just used the stock wireless headphones supplied by Minelab. They really are very good and I definitely prefer to not be tethered to a detector by a wire if possible especially when I'm prospecting in very rough terrain with lots of cord snagging potential. Recently I tried out the WM08 module with an aftermarket adapter for 1/4' headphone plug while on a 3 day prospecting trip. I was extremely impressed with the lack of any noticeable audio lag. It worked as well as plugging in headphones directly into the control box. I had noticed some lag with the wireless head phones especially on very small targets. My Gray Ghosts sound fantastic and my quality wired earbuds and a great set of back of the neck wired head phones that I like to use in the summer with a sun protection brimmed hat also sound great. So, don't get rid of the WM08 module yet. Some of my buddies regret that decision now.

Arm cuff foam fell off, just left it. Lower shaft wobble. Minelab replaced and the new one is better but still slips. Backlight button broke internally. Minelab replaced the control panel as they do not repair these.

The build quality could have been better as all these issues were within 6 months of purchase and it was only used half of my hunting time as the ctx got the rest.
