Problems with Deus II

First off I had been hoping for at least one more version of the backpack to come out. Secondly I don't think that most people understand that this new machine is going to show up with new software in it! The Horror, not new software!! Do we trust it can we revert back to 2.2 or some other version? This just isn't right. The last version could hit a 62 Nickle at 8" and the new version only at 7 1/2 and with a slight lisp in the audio. Oh my god ! Then there's new coils and headphones way way too much to worry about. Will they miss the December roll out?
Let's light the candle on this. I ordered one yesterday. Get out there.

A big question for me is: Exactly how does the software and audio differ from the current Deus? That's why I'm happy to wait for reviews and tests with the first batch of machines before buying one myself.

Don't get me wrong, MF and waterproof to 20 meters are both great. But beyond that, it's not clear to me how much this thing differs from the current Deus.

Todd some people aren't happy unless they are miserable. Hey , I could tell what the date was on a face down copper at 10 inches using version 3.2. and the black LF coil. I am sure this new fangled machine can't do that! ;)

I find it hard to believe they didn't have some of these out there with select testers ready to upload videos once finally announced. I'm with some of the other folks. Hesitant to buy the first of anything high tech and would like to see them in action from trusted sources before committing 1600 U.S. smackers for one.

I had the LF coil and those great with the older software version it is a killer ! We’ll have to see how this new one does?.

ML is coming out with a new SMF so that makes 3 now which is what a lot of folks want. I'll wait to see how accurately and quickly it separates in trash and how well it identifies deep targets since I already have 2 water machines. This is getting worse than buying a new rod or rifle every few years.:giggle:

It’s progress guys, progress ! A better tool ??? For some yes , for some maybe not. Right now the used market for detectors will probably start lighting up with some affordable used detectors worth taking a look at . 🇺🇸😃🇺🇸

I think there is a bit of confusion with the new Deus 11 .

It will not be a new version of software on the Deus 1 .
This is a new machine with multi frequency . It will almost certainly be V 1 .

I haven't read all the posts .

It will be the same wireless tech though updated .
It can go to 20 meters with a cable on the coil but i dont have an understanding of the tech on that.
It will have a new set of headphones and you will need a different set for underwater.

All the old Deus coils wont work on the new machine .
Thats a pity but oh well .
I think it shares the same stem but i'm not certain if the new lower stem can be used with the older top stems .
Just use the whole older or newer stem.

I will be buying it for land and as its lightweight and multi freq it will go well with my other machines.
It will likely replace my Nox 800 which i find poor on target info and it is poor build quality.
My control box went wrong a couple of months ago and as my machine was 1 year old i got it sorted but what happens if its outside warranty ?

At least XP gives their machines a 5 year warranty.

I'm British and at the moment we and the French dont get along LOLOL But i do have to admit the Deus is an exceptionally well made and advanced detector .

Mine is on order.

Yep sold my nox , simplex and still have my deus and ordered the deus II . Nox always felt flimsy til I spent alot more money on a carbon fiber shaft and lower rods. The control pod cracked so they replaced it under warranty, always worried about coil ears as they were flimsy, but never broke one. Never liked the angle of the handle, or the straight shaft. It did perform though was good on the beach. That's where the new deus II comes in to play. It's waterproof to over 60 ft. They are built tough, new softer tones options, simultaneous multi-frequency or single frequency. Hope the lower shaft is carbon fiber this time. Will make it stiffer and lighter to water hunt.

I want to see this test: Deus II in MF mode v. Deus I, showing me whether there are targets that Deus II can hit that Deus I can't.

It would be an interesting assessment of this new detector, but also the value of MF in general. People already say their Deus can out hunt a Nox, so curious how much MF will improve the Deus.

That’s good but you take a Deus near any strong EMI and that wireless drove me nuts! Lol and yes I still have my Nox great machine in the salt

I know it loves crown caps 🤭
