Problems to configure v3i

isaactol

New member
Good morning!
Need help with my V3i, I am very very newbie with detectors and I bought a V3i for days.
I have serious problems setting it up, because I'm from Spain and the terrain here is different from the UK.
I have problems with scrap metal, foil, pull tabs and covers Cokes.
If Rob or someone specializing in v3i could tell me a program to search: OBJECT OR GOLD COINS, SILVER, BRONZE, COPPER AND NIKEL but I do not detect as previously discussed, scrap metal, foil, pull tabs and covers Cokes .
If you could help shape the program ALL the options to work well the V3i, I would give eternal Many Many thanxs.
I am desperate because I can not go anywhere where garbage because they detected beyond everything and I'm disappointed slowly :sadwalk:

The land is in many rocks and stones, which I gather that the field will be mineralized.

No more I say goodbye to you, and thanks a million.

regards, Isaac

To answer your question you question is unrealistic. The object of the forum is to help not do everything for you. Ask one question at a time. Besides 11 minutes is quite a dead line. ROB

Watch your DVD over and over! Learn how to ground balance your machine that's very important. Start out in coin and jewelry, that is very hot right out of the box and just teach yourself. And also turn your VCO on it will help in pinpointing!

It is more or less I need to set up a program where the garbage is detected at least possible.
But I have no idea how to configure all the parameters.
If you could put the setup program I would be grateful

If you want to still detect gold start with the high trash, if not use the coin program.

I think someone close to your location and knows your ground and targets are the only ones who can help you if you can't learn how to do it yourself.

Sounds like you are asking too much too soon take one program and try it and then learn about the RX gain and what it does or get a smaller coil and try a cleaner area to start..

garbage is a fact of life, dont expect great finds all the time, we all dig lots of trash to find the good stuff , the treasure is out there.

Thanks guys.
Another question, because the metals which at times do not correlate with the number enrolled in VDI is the case of spectra?
For example, I find copper and gold brand as me, I pass a piece of Bron and I mark +91 (silver)
And there are other metals, such as shotgun cartridges, which carry the mark ass metal as something good (such as copper), when a Viking V30 IRON marked me (no longer digging) and now I'm going crazy

other bad metals, whith the viking I detectava V30 and bad at once (by the numbers that are quite low), and now the spectra marks it as something interesting .... I'm going crazy!

I'm in Germany and unless I can identify the VID of junk, I will keep digging all good sounding positive VID's. If I understand you correctly, with the alloy nature of the coins here in Europe, they will be ALL OVER the VID scale. Plus, a small old thin silver coin will give a much lower VID then a heavier one. Once you have 50-100 coins that will help you to get a better idea of the range to expect - but even then I wouldn't go by it as an end all of course. Not many guys disc out junk much (if at all) in Europe because of that. We have soooo many types of coins that are all over the scale and now the new Euro coins too.

You can try using the analysis feature. If you do a forum search you'll see some of the conclusions the guys here have reached. I don't yet hunt parks and junk isn't much of a problem so I don't have anything to add, other than to say that the analysis function is really helping with trash (patterns may sometimes look the same but the dominant frequency will usually change compared to a coin due to the alloys.)

Hope that was of some help,
EMS

Today,I started to find and mark +86, scans all perfect, I think, has to be something good!. I start to dig ... and dig up to 30cm or more.
Turned out to be a fucking bowl of rusty metal (iron or similar)
Because many times the detector says it's good and it is a shit? $%&/&()=?
