Probably one of the last hunts this spring.

Everything is growing or is being prepared for planting so I got after it Monday. I dug a good amount of quality civil war relics. I dug a eagle button that blew up emediatly after digging it. I did glue it back together & it's preserved now. The ground was very rocky & on the dry side. That makes recovering buttons challenging. I'll keep an eye on different spots throughout the late spring til fall & try to hunt when opertoninty arises. HH

Well Done. It doesn't look like I'm going to be able to make it out for a relic hunt this year. As you say, it's already about too late in the hunting season in Georgia now.

Thanks buddy. I bet your weeds & crops are ahead of us by a month. We had a cold January & February so our detecting season was shorter this year. I worked a lot this winter also knocking my dig time down. I hope you can get out & dig some fantastic relics buddy. HH
