Price on mint used V3-and some advice?

I have a chance to get a used v3 for a very low price. Its from my trusty dealer guy.its brand new looking-think only used demo in shop.
Just wondering what they sell used just in case I do not like it?

Also some general advice for a first time user.I had a eagle spectrum and figured that out in only a year or more lol.I hit some real deep silver with it.My first and only small canadian fishscale.
I have heard it is very easy and good preset programs.I have very good soil in the parks not much minereals/clay So with some adjusting i should get down past 8" on silver coins, I figure and thats what I want.

I won't put a price on a V3, since you said it is a good price. IMHO it should be upgraded to a V3i so there is another cost. See what they go for on the classifies for a price.

Stay with the stock programs at first, learn to modify the tones, read the forum and use the search feature. Most questions have been answered at least once, and so has yours. The search will turn up many answers.

You shouldn't have to do adjusting to get 8" in the soil you describe.

I will check but not many come up for sale I notice. As far as upgarde I am waiting for snowfall.i have broken left wrist so this is about the only hobby of mine I can do with no strain. No golf or prospecting.maybe metal detecting for gold.

I like the simple operation of v3 for now.Really want some good depth out of box and numerous amount of coil options.
Thinking about fisher f5 but for the price I cannot turn this offer down.

rockpup1 said "simple operation of V3" LOL :surprised::rolleyes::shocked::lmfao::lol:

One on here with fresh upgrade to V3i and other goodies sold for 950 shipped. Yazoo

I should rephrase that "simple" remark lol easy to use with the preset programs.
I understand how complex this unit is.I had a older spectrum and took me along time to get everything figured out.

I be honest getting a demo model with 2 year warrenty still.I could easy resell and make a few dollar since it is a 130 more than i wanted to spend. After reading up and knowing it can be upgraded I want to give it a try for myself.I really enjoy my gold bug pro but for park hunting it is 2 sensative to small foil bits and would enjoy more of a notch control plus better audio/visual for less digging of trash.I want a machine that can ID bottle caps better-you dig alot with the gbpro.

Speaking of bottle caps is there a favorite coil that helps.I know dd coils are bad for bottle cap id.I know the stock 9.5 concetric worked well at caps with my eagle spectrum it also had a bottle cap reject you could crank up on the unit itself.
