Went back to my childhood friends yesterday to finish the second sweep. This time I put the Sharpshooter on and went into the areas that were a little more trashy. I dug a lot of square nails in an area 25’x25’ but pulled out 8 more wheats. Oldest was ‘29 and newest was ‘52, the bulk were mid 40s. Had a strange signal that wasn’t quite that annoying is it or isn't it a quarter sound so dug and it was a small hobby size screwdriver. Cleaned it up a bit and it was a small replica whiskey bottle advertising Carstairs White Seal blended whiskey. Research shows probably 1950s. Went to the back of the house and pulled a 41 nickel and up along a back fence a 43S nickel. Not bad for a second sweep.
Went to a public park today and pulled $1.75, or should I say 2.75……..
Walking along on a zigzag course and the F75 locked on 92 four ways, ok…… this is a digger…… 4” down I unearthed a 77 Eisenhower Dollar! My second one ever!!!!
Just goes to show you never know what you’re going to find until you get out and put that coil over something!

Good ole Ike, good hit. They don't show up all that often. I'm much more of a beer guy, but Carstairs White Seal whisky wouldn't make the top 20 or so brands I could list off the top of my head (maybe). Yep, gettin out is what its all about. HH Jim Tn

Nice recoveries.
I'd love to dig any Dollar coin.
Congratulations.

The Ike Dollar wasn't a very popular coin to carry, so they were not lost very often. Nice recovery.

Nice finds…. Those Eisenhower dollars have eluded me… never found one, but I have found quite a few Sacajawea and Presidential dollars ove the years.
Also a few Susan B.Anthony dollars.

Of course today is forecast rain and the possibility of 50mph winds……
The first Ike I got was with the F5 and about the same depth. The silver dollar was close to 10” but as I cleared the square nails the VDI kept going up until it was fairly consistent 91-92. I do have to say when you hit that type of target it is like tinging the edge of a crystal goblet, very strong and clear/crisp tone. Renews your energy quickly!
