Polar Plot or Sizing

Polar plot does a pretty good job of identifying foil. I still dig to double check but the blue squiggly line tells me its quite likely foil

I have been following this thread and I have come to the conclusion the Sizing screen is the better screen for a beginner to use. Spectrograph and Pin Point tells you what kind of metal you are dealing with. If you are primarily a Coin hunter like me the bigger question is the size of the object. I normally determine this in the Pin Point mode but obviously the Sizing Screen was designed for this. My problem is that I get a lot of Ashtray Dumps so finding many coins in one hole is very common place.

I changed my Sizing to 3" from the 2 because I like to swing fast. Have not tried it in this mode but in my other posts, I mentioned that setting your forward trigger setting to Pin Point might not be such a good idea because of losing your GB.

I only use my Sunray now and often switch to Pin Point only after I put my detector on the ground. I think it may be much better to lock in Pin Point by holding the Trigger back then press enter to hold it while you place your detector on the ground. This will hold your GB if you are using Auto track.

Has anyone else experimented with changing your Sizing from 2 to 3 or 4"?
