please help me identify these two things.

both of these items were found in a park constructed in 1888. the military looking pin was about 3 in deep. My wife found the other thing. I can't really make heads nor tales of the image. I also found a 1892 barber , 1917 mercury, 1909 wheat, and a condom tin with the merchandise still in the tin. Failed venture i guess.

interesting pins..the one with wings and propeller has to be aviation related…. The other one is side ways..I can see a hare on the back of a turtle..

Thanks Steve, nice quotes. I had fun digging that stuff up. It was so hot on this hunt that my that my detector quit working. I had to pour water over it to cool it so it would work again!
