pinpointer yes or no!!

I've stopped hunting because of my pinpointer battery going dead. I have the Whites Bullseye II. It foots the bill, but when it dies I'll get a better one for sure. So many times it's not powerful enough at all and hearing about the DX-1, Pistol Probe and even the new Garrett, makes me realize what I'm missing in recovery speed. I'm very fast with the Bullseye but... you've got to be on top of your game,on each and every hole, or wasted time. I've only used the Bullseye and the VibraProbe so can only take the advise from these guys around here and I am tired of the occasional "hard find". Coins are one thing. Jewelry in sod, can be a pain with a low power pinpointer especially!

The DX-1 gives you an extra coil on your detector, you don't have to worry about batteries going dead it works on your detectors battery. you don't have to take your headphones off because you hear it through them. If any one ever tries the DX-1 they will not be satisfied with any other pin pointer.......

All I can say is I can't believe the DX1 inline probe. We were digging some deep signals this weekend and several times I was giving up on the hole using the bullseye. I dug a deep hole and for the life of me I couldn't find it. I told Larry, come check out this hole. He used all metal mode with his DX1 and said, here it is 6" down. I had missed the pinpoint. I bought Larry's DX1 right off his detector.

Later, I'd get a faint signal and dig out a plug as deep as I could with my Leschi ( can't spell). Then I'd try the DX1 with the MXT is disc mode and I still I didn't hear anything. Then I switched to pinpoint mode (all metal) and I heard it. In the pass I would have missed these deep coins. Rob
