pin pointer

well thanks for the info, i knew that about the bulbs being installed the wrong way, learned that the hard way:cry:
back in the summer fixing solsr yard lightsput them i backwards the first time lol
the bh takes a 9volt battery, should i look for a 9 volt blub????????,
I orderd a cheaper pin pointer from Harbor Freight Soon as it comes in i will operate on the B T that way if I screw it up
I will have a back up
 
Thanks GoGoGopher for the good info I don't here to well an the light was needed like i said the buzzer was week,,,,,Well it still works, got it all done back to gether
removed the light from board an moved it to the handle,, I did pick up a l.e.d. bulb holder at radio shack (snaps in, an locks) pic is of the insides of the Green B H
Taken apart, next pic is finshed Job in case an one else wants to fix theres, Some of us old folks need al the help we can get ,,LOL
the light is Red But show's up white on the pic, used scanner to put pic in the computer gess its a scanner thing.
 
Great job!!!...You will love it now for night hunting....I do not even try to feel the vibration anymore...just listen for the buzzer and watch for the light...

well my newCen-Tech Detector came in to day , I think I'm going to like it better than the Green B H ,
Has A light on it An the alarm is mush louder than the B H and only $ 16.99 From Harbor Fright
checking it out (test) in House,, it detects about 1 1/2 inch futher away than the BH can't wait to get out an try it out
 
I have both and like the Harbor Freight because of the light, on/off switch and what I feel is better sensitivity. I didn't realize what I was missing until I got a probe. I would be digging around trying to locate my find, when I could be spending more time looking for finds. A probe sure makes a difference, especially when the coins are corroded and match the color of the soil. Here is what the Harbor Freight looks like
 
Thanks for the info Rivermarine,about the Harbor Freight metal detector. They have those for sale in the catalog for 16.00 dollars and that is cheap enough. Thanks again take care Jim
