Picked up my new Pistol Probe from Detector Pro today

The tip is enough. When we're probing around that's what usually hits the object. I'm seriously thinking about getting that instead of the X-1. I like the fact that it goes deeper and has a holster but I will have to spray paint a fluorescent purple or something because of the resemblance to a pistol. Less weight on the SE too.
 
I went back for some more bench testing. The probe will sound off if you touch something to the side of the rod part. But is much more sensitive at the tip. I do think a sensitivity control would be nice as it is truly amazingly power-full. Time will tell and I will post further info as I find out. Maybe a switch for Parks/Fields. If you dig with this in clean ground it will lead the way.

He said the SUnray only went 1"??? I know they go deeper than that, more like 3-4"
