Overrated???

The two that prolly disappointed me the most were the G Ace 250 and the Fischer F2.

We all know that different machines are usually better at diff tasks... and with all the hype on these two, I jumped right in, only to find they absolutely did nothing better than the machines I already had. Found performance/features mediocre, at best. Sold them both, cheap

This proves the whole point of this thread. I got a sniper coil for my Ace 250 and it's simply a KILLER machine IN MY SITES! Sure, I have a nicer, fancier machine- but I could never quit using it in many areas. Now, as for the second part of the equation- I wanted to get rid of it after I first started using it but I read tips from this forum- specifically from Mr. Revis- before his passing- and I started liking it better. Finally, after John Edmonton's post on the sniper coil, I got one and the rest is a long happy story. So no one here is making a mountain out of a molehill.

I've been swinging the Signum MFD for the last few months, it's my fav relic machine ever, but it takes more learning than any I've used.
The new Equinox might be the next big thing, but if it's the same or less in depth as an Etrac then my Signum will not be put to the axe, because when you make the Signum a specialist hunter by matching freq to target it's much, much deeper than fbs.

Whatever you hunt with just have fun and hope the detector Gods are on your side (you have two of their high priests already, George Paine and Dave Johnson.) I'd love a detector someone mentioned here, AKA Signum MFD-hearing a lot of good ( and some bad.)
