Out of all the CZ's...which do you fellers' think is the deadliest on nickels?

I think it's in the way they are tuned, If tuned correctly any CZ should hit old nickles in coin tone both ways with the occasional foil to nickle bounce.
I have had a couple CZ's that would hit foil tone both ways on 50% old nickles, they were out of tune..
I have a CZ7aPro now and it hits most of my old crusty V's in coin tone both ways. It also runs a little more stable than the analog meter ones I had.
I run it on 6 or 8 sensitivity mostly with 5" coil, it's like hunting rabbits with a 22 magnum.
There going to have to pry it this one from my cold dead hands.

Oh, One more thing, on some CZ's when you switch to 5" coil from 8" it can throw off your nickle tones. Not sure why , I think something to do with tuning of the coil to detector. Nasa Ton mentioned it in one of his post, I read. I had a CZ6a once that was fine with 8" on nickle but only rang foil with 5".

Tico, i have a CZ7A, not the PRO, you can,t have those turned can you? I emailed NASA Tom he said it is hard to do because it is water resistant and can,t find parts anymore. Mine seams to do ok, I have found nickles at 7" don,t know if it can go deeper or not never found one deeper. At 7" it locked on nickle each swing. So hope i have a good one, going to try and use it most this year. PA-Dan has given me some good tips. I have read the manual 5 or 6 times, just got this last fall, didn't use it much going to see what i can do with this year.

Hello Flintstone
Never heard about not being able to tune a CZ but if Nasa Tom says so I guess it's true.
If yours is hitting true on nickles to 7" , I wouldn't worry about it, you got a good one.
There is a tech from the old Fisher company that works for First Texas, that is good at tuning CZ's.
I believe his name is Scott, but he does good work from what I have read.
