Our weather just sucks. Wish something like Spring would arrive..

I have a feeling this is going to be a crappy year for weather. It's cloudy, windy, sunny, cool, today with thunder storms predicted so I didn't even try to go out and become a lightning rod. HA. . Every place is a mud hole anyway. I'm getting so out of shape I may not have the strength to swing a tector when decent weather arrives. HEE. Going to have to hunt up some new spots as my old haunts are drying up. Just too damned many beeper swingers out there anymore.

it was a sunny 82 degrees in illinois today, but pretty windy. supposed to be sunny and 78 tomorrow. got a hunt planned for tomorrow in the old picnic grove. it feels so good getting out and swinging the detector. :detecting:

Thank to guys like you. You wrote so many excellent articles and talked so much of treasure, that it finally caught on. I myself would look specifically for anything written by my "mentor," Bill Revis.

You created a monster, bud. Now, as in Nature, the resource is becoming overgrazed and lean times settling in.

Thanks, Bill!

Hang in there Bill, every cloud has a silver lining. It does no harm to blame the weather on China, since we get every thing else from them, and you're the first landfall. Thanks for the pully info you gave me. You went to a lot of trouble to look up a manual, and take measurements. This took some time. As ever, your generous contributions of time and talent helping others over the speed bumps of learning and understanding are greatly appreciated. You are the NATIONAL TREASURE of this forum, so get use to it. It"s well deserved.

Yeah I know my dear bud but I don't like to think of it that way. I guess I'm responsible for selling a few tectors. But I was having so much fun I thought everyone else should be doing the same. I just fed my monster too much and he just got too big.

That's good for the Land of Lincoln but then soon that humidity monster will arrive and ruin it all. Last time I was back there in the summer to bury my mom I about croaked and couldn't get away from the air conditioners. We don't have that stuff here in the summer. We usually have about a week of 100 plus temps then the rest of the time it is seventies and eighties and low humidity. I usually run my AC about a week or so in the summer. I've had the same one for almost 40 years.
