ORX headphone pairing update issue

LEO B

New member
Hi: Got the ORX today and set it up ok, Had difficulty pairing the headphones with the remote. Returned it to the remote speaker and unit seems to work ok with locating objects. I tried once again to activate the headphones with no luck. Followed the instructions from the website in regards to headphone paring, that seemed to go OK with indication that the update was completed. Now the remote will not even turn on. I'm stuck can you help? My phone number is 204 725 9260.

Did you buy this ORX new or used?
Is the WS Audio headphone module fully charged?
Did you follow the really simple procedure at the bottom of page 10 "Headphones" in the manual for pairing the headphones to the remote?

Jeff

Unit is brand new April 4th 2020, All modules were fully charged as I did the initial test with the remote speaker. Yes I followed the easily understood text on how to pair on page #10 and also on the Quick Start page at the back listed as #1 and #2. All before going to the ORX website to find the cause for the non pairing, that's when I discovered the update information re the non paring of the headset. That was done and the result were not good.

The quick start on the back of the manual is not for pairing. Only the information at the bottom of page 10 is for initial pairing. If you bought your ORX from a dealer it may have been paired already. Can you see a flashing light every 3 seconds just above the WS on the headset?
If you have a flashing light try to pair it again using the procedure at the bottom of page 10 and make sure the volume is turned up by pressing the plus button on the headset.

Jeff

Jeff, I did the page 10 pairing and I did see the flashing light, I did select the headphones and I did press the - for the pairing at least 5 times. No Pairing was made that led me to the ORX website and the fateful update. Now there is no way to try anything unless the remote wakes up. There is nothing to pair to. I need to know if it now it's a warranty repair issue. Also should both the remote and headphones be sent back.

Sounds like you tried everything possible
Time to contact the dealer- as it is brand new ask the dealer if he/ she would send you a new individual Ws Audio unit ( they are also sold separately) and you will send the apparently faulty one back. Post your progress - good lyck

Yes, I am thinking that the remote and the WS audio should go back for warranty replacement. Thanks for the help, will advise the results as they develope
